Buying Home-Made Environment-Friendly Equipments May Enjoy Preferential Policies

Currently, the National Development and Reform Commission of China and the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China jointly issued the Catalog of Equipments (Products) of Environmental Protection Industry Encouraged by the State for Development (2010), by which some equipments will receive policy support.
The Catalog, jointly published by the National Development and Reform Commission of China and the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China, has included the denitration equipments for coal-fired power station, flue gas desulfurization equipments for industrial kilns, and electric-bag composite dust-removers into the encouraged fields, and added a group of equipments with proprietary intellectual property rights and relatively high technical content as the development priorities.
According to relevant authorities, enterprises that use home-made equipments in the Catalog for their technological transformation projects will enjoy preferential policy of offsetting business income tax with investment; applying depreciation policy to such equipments. The home-made equipments in the Catalog used by enterprises may, upon the enterprises' application and the approval by relevant tax authorities, apply accelerated depreciation.
To guide the development of the environmental protection industry, relevant authorities will focus on encouraging the development, research, production and utilization of the cataloged equipments (products) in projects of technological innovation and transformation; and appropriate subsidies will be provided for eligible key projects of the State.
