China's MOFCOM Releases 2011's Gross Tariff Quotas on Chemical Fertilizers

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) releases domestic allocated tariff quotas for the year 2011 on chemical fertilizers, which respectively total 3.30 million tons of urea, 6.90 million tons of diammonium phosphate (DAP), and 3.45 million tons of compound fertilizer.

Therein, import tariff quotas for State trading are to be 2.97 million tons of urea, 3.52 million tons of DAP, and 1.76 million tons of compound fertilizer; and those for non-State trading are to be 330,000 tons of urea, 3.38 million tons of DAP, and 1.69 million tons of compound fertilizer.

In addition, domestic enterprises in petty frontier trade, and foreign-invested enterprises to import fertilizers for self-use and production, among other enterprises, may apply for the import tariff quotas on chemical fertilizers with respect to non-State trading.
