Announcement No. 80, 2010 of the General Administration of Customs of the P. R. China

According to provisions in the Anti-Dumping Regulations of the People's Republic of China, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council has decided to impose anti-dumping measures on imported methanol originating in Indonesia, Malaysia, and New Zealand (HS Code: 29051100) as of December 24, 2010 for a period of 5 years.

However, considering the specific situation of this case, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council has granted the permission of temporarily non-performing the anti-dumping measures on such investigated products above.

Relevant matters are hereby promulgated as follows:

1. China Customs temporarily defer the levy of anti-dumping duties on imported methanol originating in Indonesia, Malaysia, and New Zealand, with the time of formal levy subject to otherwise announcements.

2. As from December 24, 2010, China Customs shall stop levying any anti-dumping cash deposit on imported methanol originating in Indonesia, Malaysia, and New Zealand.

With respect to the anti-dumping cash deposit already paid for imported methanol originating in Indonesia, Malaysia, and New Zealand after the start of provisional anti-dumping measures (relevant details in the Announcement No. 68, 2010 of the General Administration of Customs), the importer concerned may apply for refund thereof to relevant levying Customs authorities within 6 months from the date of December 24, 2010.
