China's Export Refunds to Lower Again for Energy, Pollution & Resource-Intensive Products

China's Ministry of Finance, National Development & Reform Commission, and Ministry of Commerce are jointly studying further export restrictions on resource-intensive products by reducing or removing again export tax refunds for such products.

According to insiders, the considered reductions of export-refund rates may mostly apply to energy-intensive, pollution-intensive, and resource-intensive products, involving rubbers, non-ferrous metals, steels, building materials, etc.

The margin of reduction, though under discussion, is not to be unexpectedly much on the whole, but may be somewhat bigger for part of steels, building materials, new-type materials, additives, etc.
