China Adjusts Quarantine Standard on Edible Oil

On January 1, 2011, China adjusted quarantine standard on edible oil entry. The attached quarantine certificate is not needed for the entry of prepackaging edible oil that will not be split or processed. While for the other edible oil, the processing technical information on edible oil entry must be provided to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China by the official exporting countries or regrions.
As for this measure, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China indicates that this adjustment aims at increasing import quantity of edible vegetable oil.
