Announcement No. 33, 2011 of the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC)
In 2006, the Customs Tariff Commission under China's State Council decided to impose anti-dumping duties on import catechol originating in the U.S. and Japan for a period of 5 years starting from May 22, 2006.
As the deadline is approaching, at the request of domestic related enterprises, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) decided to launch anti-dumping sunset-review investigation on the catechol from the U.S. and Japan.
The Customs Tariff Commission has decided to continue anti-dumping duties on such catechol during the investigating period.
Relevant matters are hereby announced:
From May 22, 2011, China Customs may continue levying anti-dumping duties on catechol imports from the U.S. and Japan (HS Code 29072910) as per the regulations in GACC Announcements No. 24, 2006 and No. 42, 2009 on product range, duty rates, and formula.
