GACC Announcement 48, 2011 on China-Costa Rica FTA Matters

Announcement No. 48, 2011 of the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC)

Approved by China's State Council, the China-Costa Rica Free Trade Agreement (FTA) comes into force from August 1, 2011.

Relative matters as follows:

1. From August 1, 2011, conventional tariff shall be levied on import goods originating in Costa Rica under 7,977 HS Codes (see the Annex).

2. Importers shall fill in customs declaration forms in accordance with relevant China Customs regulations when declaring the conventional-tariff-covered imports from Costa Rica; and the "code for preferential trade agreement" shall be filled in as "15".

3. When declaring the conventional-tariff-covered imports from Costa Rica, any importers shall submit relevant certificates and documents in accordance with the Administrative Measures of the GACC on Origin of Import/Export Goods under the China-Costa Rica Free Trade Agreement (issued by the GACC Decree No. 202).

4. Simplified names of goods are used in the Annex herein, while their accurate names shall resort to the descriptions of goods in the Customs Import & Export Tariff of the P. R. China.
