GACC Announcement 72, 2011 on Special Preferential Tariffs-Favored LDCs

Announcement No. 72, 2011 of the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC)

According to regulations under the Tariff Implementation Scheme of 2012 by the State Council of China and the Customs Administrative Measures of the P. R. China on Origin of Import Goods from Least-Developed Countries Enjoying Special Preferential Tariffs (GACC Decree No. 192), hereby announced is an adjusted list of the favored countries applicable to such Measures:

1. Favored least-developed countries (LDC) applicable to the GACC Decree No. 192 include:

The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia,
The Republic of Angola,
The Republic of Benin,
The Republic of Burundi,
The Republic of Equatorial Guinea,
The Republic of Togo,
The State of Eritrea,
The Republic of Djibouti,
The Democratic Republic of the Congo,
The Republic of Guinea,
The Republic of Guinea-Bissau,
The Union of Comoros,
The Kingdom of Lesotho,
The Republic of Liberia,
The Republic of Rwanda,
The Republic of Madagascar,
The Republic of Malawi,
The Republic of Mali,
The Islamic Republic of Mauritania,
The Republic of Mozambique,
The Republic of Niger,
The Republic of Sierra Leone,
The Republic of the Senegal,
The republic of the Sudan,
The Federal Republic of Somalia,
The United Republic of Tanzania,
The Republic of Uganda,
The Republic of Zambia,
The Republic of Chad,
The Central African Republic,
The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan,
The Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste,
The People's Republic of Bangladesh,
The Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal,
The Republic of Yemen,
The Independent State of Samoa,
The Republic of Vanuatu.

2. Upon imports of goods originating in the aforesaid countries with declaration of enjoying special preferential tariffs, the import consignees or their agents shall engage in compliance with relevant regulations under the GACC's Announcement No. 40, 2010.

Contents of this Announcement shall be effective as from January 1, 2012.
