GACC Announcement No. 51, 2012 on International Border Cooperation Center & Code

By the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC)
To support customs statistics for China-Kazakhstan Khorgas (Huorguosi) international border cooperation center, the GACC hereby decides to provide domestic economic divisional category and code for China area of this cooperation center, as follows:
An "International Border Cooperation Center" category shall be added to China Customs categories for domestic division of economic zones, with its code as "A" and used for the fifth places of enterprises’ customs registry code and of internal destination/origin code.
This new category and code shall be applicable to China area of China-Kazakhstan Khorgas (Huorguosi) international border cooperation center and to other similar economic zones approved by China State Council.
This Announcement shall take effect upon its issuance.
