Issued by the Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM)

On June 8, 2008, the MOFCOM decided in its annual announcement no. 40 to levy antidumping duties from June 9, 2008 till June 9, 2013 on acetones from Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Chinese Taiwan.

From the issue date of this Announcement till sixty days prior to the expiring date of June 9, 2013, relevant domestic industries or industrial representatives may submit written petition to the MOFCOM for conducting its expiry review of the antidumping duties.

The written petition shall contain an explicit claim for the expiry review and adequate evidence that ceasing the antidumping duties will likely lead to continuation or recurrence of the dumping and injury from those imports.

In the event that no such petition is submitted and the MOFCOM fails to initiate its expiry review before the expiring date, the antidumping duties herein shall cease on June 9, 2013.
