GACC Announcement No. 45, 2013 on South Korean PTA Corporations Inheritance

In 2010, the Customs Tariff Commission of China imposed from August 12, 2010 five-year antidumping duties on Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) from South Korea and Thailand.

Recently, China Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) has decided to make South Korean LOTTE CHEMICAL CORPORATION inherit the antidumping duty rates and other rights and obligations applicable hereto of former South Korean KP CHEMICAL CORPORATION.

Relevant matters are hereby announced:

As of August 8, 2013, China Customs shall levy the antidumping duties at the rate of 2.0% on the Purified Terephthalic Acid imported in the name of LOTTE CHEMICAL CORPORATION and impose the antidumping duty rate of 11.2% on such products imported in the name of KP CHEMICAL CORPORATION as "Other South Korean Companies".

Other relevant matters shall still be subjected to GACC Announcement No. 51 of 2010.
