MOFCOM Announcement No.5, 2015 (on Terminating Anti-Dumping on Phenol from Japan, South Korea, USA, Taiwan)

On January 30, 2010, the Ministry of Commerce issued annual Announcement No. 2 deciding to continue to impose anti-dumping measures against imports of phenol originated in Japan, South Korea, USA and Taiwan for a period of 5 years from January 31, 2010.

On July 30, 2014, the Ministry of Commerce issued annual Announcement No. 50 announcing that the above-mentioned anti-dumping measures will expire on January 30, 2015. As of the date of the announcement, the domestic industry or any natural person, legal person or relevant organization on behalf of the domestic industry may, at least 60 days prior to the expiration of such anti-dumping measures, file a written application to the Ministry for expiry review.

No application has been made for the expiry review within the time limit as aforesaid, and the Ministry of Commerce has also decided not to take the initiative to launch the expiry review. Therefore, the anti-dumping measures applicable to imports of phenol from Japan, South Korea, USA and Taiwan will be terminated as of January 31, 2015.
