[2015-10-26 16:33:55]
In order to help make Hong Kong the Asian entrepot of grape wine, the GACC and Hong Kong Customs And Excise Department reached a cooperative arrangement in 2010 to provide conveniences for clearance and taxation of grape wine import via Hong Kong to the mainland. Nowadays, such conveniences are being implemented at some of ports within Shenzhen and Guangzhou Customs Districts. Furthermore, recently, the GACC and the Hong Kong Customs have jointly decided to expand those conveniences to some other ports on the mainland, as announced hereunder:
As from 20 October 2015, the aforesaid conveniences will be expanded in application to all the ports within Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen Customs Districts; then mainland importers may be accorded conveniences in clearance and taxation of their wine imports through those Customs ports on the condition that relevant wine data are already submitted by Hong Kong registered exporters over a designated online declaration system and verified by the Hong Kong Customs.
