GACC Announcement No.45, 2016 on (Stopping AD on Stainless Seamless Steel Tubes from EU & Japan)

[2016-08-25 17:01:03]

In 2012, China's Customs Tariff Commission decided to levy antidumping (AD) duties for five years from 9 November 2012 on high-performance stainless seamless steel tubes originating in the EU and Japan, which was accompanied by GACC Announcement No. 54 of 2012.

In view of WTO ruling over this case, on 20 June 2016, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) decided to re-investigate the antidumping measure. During the re-investigation period, original antidumping petitioner, representing relevant Chinese industry, requested to the MOFCOM for revocation of the antidumping duties.

Therefore, the Customs Tariff Commission has decided to stop levying the antidumping duties from 22 August 2016.

Relevant matters are hereby announced:

As from 22 August 2016, China Customs shall not levy the antidumping duties anymore on high-performance stainless seamless steel tubes (HS Codes 7304.4110 and 7304.4910) originating in the EU and Japan, along with repeal of GACC Announcement No. 54 of 2012.
