The Customs Clearance Speed for Food Will Rise 20 Percent

According to Foshan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, new measures to shorten the procudure of inspection and quarantine for import and export food will be carried out and the customs clearance speed will rise 20 percent. Those new measures will benefit over 50 enterprises which deals in production and operation of import and export food. In accordance with relevant principal in Foshan inspection and quarantine bureau, if enterprises need rapid customs clearance service, they shall make an application and pass the approval from inspection and quarantine department.

It is said that, in order to provide better service for production and operation enterprise of import and export food, Foshan inspection and quarantine bureau releases Measures for Speeding up the Inspection and Quarantine Procedure. The detailed measures are as follows: devide into three classification according to the degree of needed for import and export food: very urgent, urgent and normal; stipulate very urgent, urgent and normal time limit for import and export food accordint to the degree of need during the food inpection and supervision process of dealing in application and inspection, sample examination on spot, and providing cetification. With those measures, the sample can delivery to the different linkage of inspection and quarantine within stipulated time and after the implementation of those measures, the customs clearance speed of inspection and quarantine for import and export food can rise 20 percent.
