Argentina Launches Anti-Dumping Investigation on Chinese Eyeglasses

On April 7, 2011, Argentina's Ministry of Industry released 2011 Resolution No.75 of its State Secretariat for Trade and Industry, deciding to launch anti-dumping investigation on sunglasses, spectacle frames and vision-correction glasses originating in China.

The involved products are under Mercosur HS codes of 90031100, 90031910, 90031990, 90041000 and 90049010.

The applicant requested anti-dumping duty of 3,979.43% to be levied on involved Chinese products. And in this case, Brazil is selected as a third-party substitute.
