The U.S. Speeds AD Sunset-Review Probe on China's Silicon Metal

On February 6, 2012, the U.S. International Trade Commission announced launching a rapid antidumping (AD) sunset-review investigation into China-made silicon metal to determine whether cancelling the antidumping measures will cause continuation or reoccurrence of material injury to U.S. local industries within a reasonable and foreseeable period.

On September 5, 1990, the U.S. Department of Commerce started the antidumping investigation under HS codes 28046910 and 28046950;

On April 23, 1991, the Department made a final ruling that the Chinese dumping margin was 139.49%;

On November 1, 2011, the Department took the third sunset-review probe.
