China Mainland 509 Goods Enjoy Taiwan's Zero Duty

According to cz001.com.cn, from 2012, China mainland-Taiwan ECFA trade agreement (taking effect from January 1, 2011 for gradually decreasing and eliminating cross-strait trade & investment barriers) has entered into the second stage of lowering duties, zero duty realized for 253 goods from Taiwan and 509 goods from the mainland.

Furthermore, the rate 2.5% will be put on 14 Taiwanese goods with current over-7.5% duty, and the rate 5% will be on 30 mainland goods with current over-15% duty.

Now, zero-duty treatment has been applied to most of China mainland petrochemicals, chemicals and machines exported to Taiwan and Taiwanese petrochemicals, machines, electronic products, transport products and agricultural products exported to the mainland.
