India has extended the anti-dumping duty levied on imports of non-radial tyres from China and Thailand for another six months.

"It shall remain in force up to and inclusive of the October 7, unless it is revoked earlier," the Department of Revenue has said.

Non-radial tyres are used in buses and trucks.

The Finance Ministry has extended the validity of the anti-dumping duty on such tyres and tubes which had lapsed on October 8 last year.

The extension comes in the wake of Commerce Ministry's Directorate General of Anti-Dumping and Allied Duties had initiated a sunset review in August last year.

The Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association (ATMA) on behalf of the domestic industry had requested for a sunset review.

In an another notification, the Revenue Department has also extended the anti-dumping duty on imports of flat base steel wheels, used in commercial vehicles from China.
