Canada Takes Two-Anti Sunset Review on Chinese Seamless Steel Oil-Gas Casing Pipes

On June 27, 2012, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced starting antidumping and anti-subsidy sunset reviews on the seamless steel oil-gas casing pipes made in China.

As scheduled, on October 25, 2012, the Canada Border Services Agency will make a ruling on whether the dumping and subsidy acts concerned are likely to continue or reoccur; if an affirmative ruling is worked out, the Tribunal above will make a ruling on March 11, 2013 on the likelihood of continuation or recurrence of resulting material injury or retardation to Canadian industries.

On August 13, 2007, the Agency launched the double-anti probe under HS Codes 7304290011, 7304290019, 7304290021, 7304290029; On February 7, 2008, it made a final ruling of Chinese dumping margins at 37%-45%, subsidy rates at 2%-38%, and subsidy amount at RMB 160-3,381/ton.
