On June 27, the European Commission noticed China's diplomatic mission that EU enterprises have filed an anti-circumvention petition on China-made silicon metals, charging Chinese enterprises with circumvention of EU antidumping measures by re-exporting via Taiwan region, and the EU would likely start the anti-circumvention probe soon.

In July 1990, the EU initiated its antidumping on China-made silicon metals, with many sunset and midterm reviews conducted till now.

In the last sunset-review ruling of May 29, 2010, the antidumping duty rate 16.3% is imposed on China's Datong Jinneng Industrial Silicon Co., Ltd. while 19% is imposed on other Chinese enterprises involved.
