The U.S. Sunset-Review Rulings on Lined Paper School Supplies from 3 Countries

On August 2, 2012, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) announced its final sunset-review ruling for two-anti measures on lined paper school supplies:

Revoking the existing anti-subsidy duty order on the lined paper school supplies from India and the existing antidumping duty orders on these products from China and India would lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time;

Revoking the existing anti-subsidy duty order and the existing antidumping duty order on these products from Indonesia would not lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time.

As a result of the Commission's determinations, the existing orders on the imports from China and India will remain in place; and the existing orders on the imports from Indonesia will be terminated.

On October 6, 2005, the U.S. Department of Commerce started the antidumping probe under HS Codes 48201020.20, 48201020.30, 48201020.40, 48201020.50, 48201020.60, 48102250.44, 48119090.90 and 48201020.10.

On August 31, 2006, the Department finally ruled Chinese dumping margins of 78.39%-258.21%;

On August 1, 2011, the Department started the antidumping sunset review and on December 6, 2011, made a final ruling of 78.38%-258.2% antidumping duties on the Chinese enterprises.
