On August 5, 2012, the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) announced expediting its five-year sunset review concerning the antidumping duty on certain polyester staple fiber from China.

The Commission will conduct an expedited review to determine whether revocation of this antidumping would lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time.

On July 3, 2006, the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) launched the antidumping probe under HS Codes 55032000.65 and 55032000.45.

On April 19, 2007, the DOC made a final ruling with the Chinese dumping margin at micro-44.30%.

On May 1, 2012, the DOC started its sunset review on the case.
