Chinese Want Two-Anti Probe into EU Wine

It's reported that China Alcoholic Drinks Association has recently filed a petition with China's MOFCOM authority for conducting antidumping and anti-subsidy probes into grape wine imports originating in the EU.

As statistics show, in recent years, Chinese imports of wine are surging from the EU countries, risen to 169,114 kiloliters in 2011 from 35,944 kiloliters of 2008, annually up 67.71%; therein, the packed at or below 2 liters increased to 165,652 kiloliters from 34,477 kiloliters, their share in China also quickly climbing to 14.32% in 2011 from 4.94% of 2008.

During the first quarter of 2012, the wines from the EU totaled 41,698 kiloliters, up 23.98% year-on-year; therein, the packed at or below 2 liters reached 41,191 kiloliters, their share up to 14.76%.
