Sintered Rare-Earth Magnets to Face U.S. Section 337 Probe

On August 17, Japanese Hitachi Metals Ltd. and Hitachi Metals North Carolina Ltd. requested the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) to conduct an investigation under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended regarding Certain Sintered Rare Earth Magnets, Methods of Making Same and Products Containing Same.

The proposed compulsory respondents cover 27 enterprises from China, Chinese Hong Kong, Germany, the UK, etc. therein 3 from Chinese mainland: Yantai Zhenghai Magnetic Material Co., Ltd., China; Ningbo Jinji Strong Magnetic Material Co., Ltd. China; Earth-Panda Advance Magnetic Materials Co., Ltd., China.
