On September 11, 2012, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced that the Canadian antidumping (AD) duty order will expire on July 14, 2013 regarding the carbon steel pipe fittings from China, and will be revoked if none of interested Canadian parties petition for a sunset review before the expiry date.

The interested parties should, by October 1, 2012, take written submissions for or against raising the sunset review procedure (including relevant information, viewpoints, and arguments).

On January 2, 2003, the Canada Border Services Agency started the antidumping probe under HS Codes 73079999.1 and 73079999.19;

On June 12, 2003, the Canadian authority finally ruled the antidumping duties at 50%-153%;

On June 8, 2007, the International Trade Tribunal decided to cancel antidumping measures on carbon steel threaded connectors from China because they posed no injury to domestic industry.
