Canada to End AD on China Carbon Steel Pipe Fittings

On November 1, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced that it has decided not to take an antidumping (AD) sunset review on China-made carbon-steel pipe fittings and therefore relevant antidumping measures will end on July 14, 2013.

On January 2, 2003, the Canada Border Services Agency started the antidumping probe under HS Codes 73079999.1 and 73079999.19;

On June 12, 2003, the Agency finally ruled 50%-153% antidumping duties on the Chinese products;

On June 8, 2007, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal ruled that China-made carbon-steel threaded connectors posed no injury to domestic industry and therefore canceled their antidumping measures;

On September 11, 2012, the Tribunal announced that the antidumping duty order on the Chinese pipe fittings will expire on July 14, 2013 and will be revoked if no domestic parties request its sunset review before the expiry.
