India Probes Aluminum-Alloy Wheel Hubs from China

 
Reportedly, on December 10, 2012, India authority announced starting its antidumping probe into 12-24-inch aluminum-alloy wheel hubs (having or no accessories) from China, South Korea and Thailand.

The products are under HS Code 870870.

According to Indian official statistics, in 2011-12 and 2012-13 fiscal years, such imports to India totaled USD 105 million and USD 62 million respectively;

The period of dumping investigation is July 2011-June 2012, and that of injury investigation contains 2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12 fiscal years and the dumping investigation period;

Indian petitioners say that, as China is regarded as a non-market economy, the Indian authority should use constructed prices (based on Indian data) to calculate the normal value of the Chinese products.

The authority requires the interested parties to submit evidences within 40 days following the announcement.
