Canada Rules Injury by China Seamless Steel Oil-Gas Pipes

On March 11, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced its final injury ruling on seamless steel oil-gas pipes from China:

Ending the antidumping and anti-subsidy on the involved products will cause injury or hindrance to Canadian domestic industries.

According to the affirmative ruling, Canada Border Services Agency will continue to levy antidumping and anti-subsidy duties on the products involved.

On August 13, 2007, Canada Border Services Agency initiated the antidumping and anti-subsidy investigation under HS Codes 7304290011, 7304290019, 7304290021, 7304290029;

On February 7, 2008, Canada made final rulings of antidumping and anti-subsidy on this case, judging the Chinese dumping margins from 37% to 45%, subsidy rates from 2% to 38%, and subsidy amount from RMB 160/ton to RMB 3,381/ton;

On June 28, 2012, Canada Border Services Agency started its antidumping and anti-subsidy sunset review.
