Gulf States Cancel Tariff on 90 Kinds of Technical Commodities

According to the relevant stipulation about the Information Technology Agreement under the WTO frame, the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries will gradually cancel tariff on 90 kinds of information technology products in early 2010.

The WTO Agreement on Information Technology aims at developing knowledge economy in the worldwide to push the national economy development. To cancel the tariff on information technology products can lower the cost of domestic information technology products and strengthen the competitive power of such industry.

The tariff exemption products in this agreement mainly include computers, printers, optical scanners, computer screens, disks, generators, computer accessories, communication products, faxes and network articles.
