Iran to Raise Import Tariff on Luxury Cars

[2010-04-22 09:23:15]

According to "Tehran Times" report on April 17, Iran's Minister of Commerce claimed that Iran's Parliament has agreed to raise import tariff on cars to 90% from 70%. But industrial insiders said that the Parliament specified in its document that the raise of import tariff was targeted on luxury cars, not on all of the other cars, and asked the Ministry of Commerce to formulate new programs subject to this stipulation so that Iran Customs can implement smoothly the new customs tariff on imported cars.
