Russia to Impose Export Tariffs on Petroleum from East Siberia as of August 1, 2010

According to a report on July 12, 2010 from the Russian RBCdaily, as estimated by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, as of August 1, 2010, Russia will impose export tariffs on petroleum originating in East Siberia, with the standard of USD 80 per ton.

The export tariff on sales of petroleum from other regions shall be ranging from USD 262 per ton to USD 264 per ton, that on light oils shall be ranging from USD 189 per ton to USD 190 per ton, and that on heavy oils shall be USD 102 per ton.

The final standard will be determined within one week before it takes effect.
