Tunisia Takes Measures to Reduce Tariffs

Tunisia takes measures to continuously reducing tariffs in order to further reduce the nominal rate of protection of tariffs to 15% from current 16.9%.

The main approaches of Tunisia in the tariff reduction include reducing categories of taxes and the highest tariff rate.

From 2003 till now, the categories of tariffs collected by Tunisia have been reduced to 5 from previous 54, and the highest tariff rate has been reduced to 36% from previous 210%.
