The Government of Pakistan Announces to Cancel Import Tariff of 5% on Paper Pulp

Recently, a conference by Pakistan's Economic Coordination Committee Cabinet was held to announce that they decided to cancel the import tariff of 5% on paper pulp. It is estimated that cancel of import tariff on paper bag only takes nominal influence on national tax revenue and will not greatly affect the reduction of domestic production cost and stabilizing the prices of commodities.

Paper pulp is mainly used for shopping bag production, multilayer cement paper bag, taker-bag, drug bag, daily used bag, flour bag and so on.

China is the main source country of Pakistan's imported paper bags.
