Vietnam to Raise Coal Export Tariff Again

Vietnam Ministry of Finance said on May 30, 2011 it is planning to raise export tariffs on coal by 5 percentage points from current 10% to 15%.

Before then, it has submitted the proposal of raising export tariffs on minerals to Prime Minister due to the sharp rise in their exports; for instance, if the export value of some mineral rose over 300%, the export tariff will increase by 5-10 percentage points.
