Pakistan Lowers Import Consumption Tax and Cancels Special Additional Customs Duty

Pakistan's Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) several days ago released a notice, stating that Pakistan's government will adjust import consumption tax from 17% to 16% and cancel special additional customs duty of 2.5% from June 20, 2011. FBR has released the notice to relative Customs and Taxation Authorities and implements above tax reformation immediately.
