The Philippines to Levy Heavy Safeguard Tax on Paperboard Imports

According to a Philippine commercial newspaper of July 25, the Philippines Department of Trade and Industry has recently agreed to 3-year levy of a heavy safeguard tax on paperboard imports, at 1,342 pesos (USD 31) per ton, based on injury to domestic carton makers by the surged imports.
