The EU to Strike China's Cheap Goods by High Tariffs

According to German Der Spiegel of August 1, 2011, the EU plans to increase tariffs on China's exports so as to restrain China's cheap commodities.

Member states of the EU have decided to increase the import tariffs, up to a 69.7% punitive tariff, on China's wall and floor tiles for 5 years from the middle of September.

Besides, the EU will extend the anti-dumping duties on China-made bikes and bike parts by 5 years till 2016 and also raise the duty rate to 48.5%, taking effect before the middle of October.
