The Customs Union Commission Reduces Import Duty on Bleached Paper and Paperboard to 5%

This decision (N735) was published on the Customs Union Commission's website. The fee for paper and cardboard was reduced until September 1, 2012.

During the latest meeting, the Customs Union Commission of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan adopted a decision to reduce import duties on combined board and bleached paper from 15 to 5%, according to Interfax. Import duties on drilling machines with a drilling depth of 200 metres will be introduced on January 1st, 2012 for a period of 3 years. Payments will reach 10% of the customs value of vehicles, but no less than 2.5 euros per 1 kilogram.

The CUC also decided to increase duties on imports of grain elevators and continuous conveyors to 5%. Previously, the import duty on such equipment equaled zero.
