Russia-Belarus-Kazakhstan Zero Import Duty for Vehicle-Production Conveyors

According to Interfax Moscow news of Nov. 25, the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan has decided to list the conveyor lines used for motor-vehicle production into its Catalog of Import & Export Goods (8428399001) with zero import duty, effective from Oct. 18, 2011 when the resolution was published on its official website.

The zero duty treatment, replacing former 5%, covers the conveyor lines for 5 kinds of motor vehicles (8701-8705): sedan cars, buses, trucks, tractors, and special vehicles (auto-cranes, concrete mixing machines, or reaping machines).
