Russian Customs Union Restarts Import Duties on Buckwheat, Potatoes & Cabbage

Reported by Interfax in Moscow on May 31, Russia-Belarus-Kazakhstan Customs Union has decided to terminate the zero-duty treatment for import buckwheat, potatoes and cabbages which started from November 23, 2010.
From June 1 this year, their duties are: potatoes for breeding – 5%, potatoes for starch production – 15%, fresh potatoes – 15%, cabbage – 15%, and buckwheat – 5%.
