Russia to Cut Vehicle (SUV) Import Duties

Reported by a Russian newspaper of August 6, Russia will gradually reduce its import duties on less than three years old automobiles, now at the rate 30%.

Following Russian admission to the WTO on August 23, such auto import duties will slide to 25%, further down to 15% in 2019.

Up to 2019, the duties will slide to 12.5% for off-road vehicles of 3.5L-4.2L power, such as SUVs, and for those more than 4.2L, the preferential rate will get as low as 10%.
