Mexico's More Egg Import Quotas

Last week, Mexico's economic secretariat announced its quotas for fresh egg import quantity and duty.

The country plans to import duty-free 211,000 tons of fresh eggs for people's consumption; it also will import 24,400 tons of eggs for industrial application.

Mexico's egg imports this time aim to suppress domestic egg price rising that's due to yield slump in its egg-producing regions.
