Kazakhstan to Quit VAT on Non-ferrous Metal Companies

Reported by Interfax Astana news of August 28, Kazakhstan's economic trade minister revealed that the government will cancel value-added tax (at 12% now) on companies engaging in non-ferrous metals and ferrous wastes business, details to be provided later in an amendment to tax law.

What's more, it is also said that Kazakhstan will reduce the excise tax on liquor raw materials to 0-20 tenge/liter (148.86 tenge=1 dollar).
