Canada Rules Injury Threats by Import Welded Carbon-Steel Pipes

On December 11, 2012, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced a definitive injury ruling that Canadian domestic industries suffered from injury threats posed by the dumping of welded carbon-steel pipes from India, Chinese Taiwan, Oman, South Korea, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates and by the subsidy for such India-made pipes.

Accordingly, Canada Border Services Agency will levy pertinent antidumping and anti-subsidy duties.

Those products are under the HS Codes before January 1, 2012 of 73063010.14, 73063010.24, 73063010.34, 73063090.14, 73063090.19, 73063090.24, 73063090.29, 73063090.34, 73063090.39 and under the Codes after January 1, 2012 of 73063000.14, 73063000.24, 73063000.34, 73063000.14, 73063000.19, 73063000.24, 73063000.29, 73063000.34, 73063000.39;

On November 9, 2012, the Border Agency gave its final ruling on the case.
