EU Anti-Circumvention Duty on Gas-filled Lighters via Vietnam

 
On March 22, the European Commission announced levying an anti-circumvention duty of EUR 0.065 on each of disposable gas-filled lighters transited during June 27-December 13, 2012 through Vietnam (whether made in Vietnam or not).

The involved products are under EU HS Code ex9613.10.00.

On June 26, 2012, the EU initiated the anti-circumvention investigation; on December 13, 2012, the EU decided to cancel the anti-circumvention investigation because it had canceled its anti-dumping on China-made disposable lighters.
