Chile Ends Safeguard Probe on Import Frozen Pork

Recently, Chile notified in writing the WTO's safeguard measure commission that, because no evidence can prove the import of frozen pork increased and thus seriously injured or threatened Chilean domestic industry, the Chilean government has decided on October 19 to terminate its safeguarding probe on import frozen pork without safeguarding duty to impose.

On May 31, Chile started the safeguarding probe under HS Codes 02032200, 02032910, 0203.2920, 02032930 and 02032990.
